June Webinar

Our educational webinars are held monthly on the Third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 7:30 pm Mountain Time.  These programs are a benefit of membership. Each program is rich with vital information and educational topics provided by experts in aromatherapy and related healthcare fields and are interactive with Q&A.  AIA members receive email notifications with call-in information on the day of the event.  If you are interested in continuing education credit, read about it below.

Essential Oil Safety with Animals with Paula Warner

Tea Tree Concerns; Working in Animal Aromatherapy; Case Studies; Flower Essence

Introducing Animal Aromatherapy and the role of an Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner by providing examples from case studies. Offering safety tips, procedures, and other alternatives (thinking outside the box) that will help in positive results. Concluding with educational resources to further training in animal aromatherapy.

Learner Outcomes:

  • Practice essential oil safety with animals
  • The difference between working with humans vs animals with aromatherapy
  • Educational resources to further training in animal aromatherapy

Paula Warner is a recent Honors graduate from the American College of Healthcare Sciences as a Master Aromatherapist (https://achs.edu/). 

She continued her education in animal aromatherapy through Ashi Aromatics and graduated as an Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner (https://www.animalaromatherapy.com/).

Paula is affiliated with the Alliance of International Aromatherapists and is a member of the AIA Education Committee. Paula has also published an article and a case study for the AIA Spring Journal Issue in Animal Aromatherapy. She is also a member of the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists (NAHA) and has earned the title of NAHA Certified Clinical Aromatherapist

Paula chose holistic medicine after retiring from 25 years as a Sign Language Interpreter resulting in health issues relating to the physical and mental demands of her career. Paula’s goals are to offer aromatherapy support and education to existing wellness businesses and to educate communities in the safe use of essential oils for humans and animals. 


Continuing Education

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit:
There are two ways to earn CPD credit for watching a webinar.

1. You may earn 1 CPD credit for watching a live webinar. Instructions on how to earn the CPD credit will be given during the program.

2. You may earn 1 CPD credit by watching a MP4 video and submitting a 100-word summary of the program  to AIA. Be sure to include your name, address, and title on your summary.  Each summary must be submitted on a separate document.
